Access Support Services Inc. is a well-established not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people with disabilities in the North QLD region. Responsible for implementing the strategic vision, operational delivery, and financial management of the organisation, while working closely with the senior management team and a committed Board of Management. Access Support Services provides person-centred services—including Supported Independent Living and community participation — guided by its mission to empower individuals to live meaningful, inclusive lives.

Barkly Regional Council is the second largest local government area in Australia, with a land size of circa 322,713 km2. It is centred around the junction of two highways (Stuart and Barkly) connecting the Northern Territory with SA and QLD, and is spread over 7 communities (2 regional towns and 5 remote communities). Barkly Regional Council employs approximately 240 staff members who deliver a wide range of services such as aged care and NDIS services, community safety programs, roads and public access, waste management, buildings and other key infrastructure, parks and gardens, airstrip maintenance, animal management, support services, youth sport & recreation activities, cemeteries and much more.
Reporting directly to a Board of Directors with responsibility of nine sites and a geographical remit of over 145,000 km2. Responsible for providing strong leadership, managing the organisation’s financial and corporate reporting mechanisms, and ensuring the organisation’s operations and company's direction is maintained within the parameters set by the Board.
