I've spent more than 20 years testing one idea: luxury retail growth doesn't come simply from opening more stores. It comes from building the right combination of people, place, client experience and performance. Today, I lead Global Retail for La Prairie, working across markets, functions and teams to translate the brand into a distinctive and commercially effective retail experience. What I enjoy most is connecting the strategic with the practical — taking a global ambition and making it work at the counter, in the boutique and ultimately for the client. I’m particularly interested in how luxury retail is changing: how technology and AI will reshape the client journey, how physical stores need to earn their place in an increasingly omnichannel world, and how we build retail teams that can deliver both exceptional experiences and strong commercial performance. •In this additional role, I developed and implemented a corporate learning strategy, to enhance enterprise-wide education and collaboration. Key achievements: Gained endorsement for the strategy from Executive Group Presidents and over 15 brand presidents. Designed and rolled out a unified learning governance model across the company’s diverse portfolio of brands. Created and launched multi-brand educational tools, fostering cross-functional knowledge-sharing and driving excellence in retail performance.
• Accountable for developing and delivering a global education strategy, driving retail sales growth while ensuring alignment with brand values and purpose. Key achievements: Delivered double-digit retail sales growth through innovative retail tiering and experience strategies, including optimised visual merchandising, store design, category mix, brand storytelling, staffing models, and service delivery. Successfully launched flagship stores, notably in Tokyo (where I lived for six months in 2024), achieving a 62% increase in conversion rates through agile staffing, immersive design, and tailored retail strategies. Designed and implemented a blended learning model (digital and face-to-face), securing 80% adoption across 82 markets and positioning JML as a leader in learning and development innovation within ELC. Enhanced franchise growth by strategically focusing on hero products and impactful brand storytelling. Championed diversity and inclusion through educational initiatives, collaborating with experts on disability inclusion and creating tailored training materials. Managed a global education budget, aligning spending with marketing priorities and ensuring strategic impact. Led eight regional education directors, fostering collaboration and tailoring global strategies to local market needs.
