I am highly driven professional with a diverse background ranging from Leadership and Management to Training and Education, and now OSH and Compliance. While these are all interrelated my passion lays with leadership and safety. I quickly developed these skills from the start of my working career and over the next 10 years in the Australian Army.
Implement, manage, monitor and continually improve Marley’s regulatory and industry focused Integrated Management System (IMS). Responsible for Marley’s HSEQ Management including incident investigation and reporting. Responsible for maintaining both regulatory and voluntary accreditation's through implementing both internal and external audit activities. Report findings and drive continual improvement across the organisation in accordance with audit outcomes. Facilities Management across several sites. Sub-contractor management. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including interstate regulatory bodies.
Health and Safety Officer/Representative Conduct hazard and risk assessments including investigation of workplace incidents. Trainer development and mentor. Deliver high quality VET courses and workshops including WHS, First Aid and Manual Handling in accordance with AQTF and TAC. Making reasonable adjustments for trainees who have LLN and other learning difficulties.
Deliver high quality VET ranging from Perform CPR to Advanced First Aid. Tailoring training requirements to meet specific customer needs and challenges Mentoring trainers and conducting professional development training for all staff. Conduct training audits on employees and external contractors.
Deliver daily, weekly and monthly operational meetings to target audiences of up to 50 people including senior staff to discuss work in progress, workplace priorities, WHS issues and resource allocation. Supervised small and large teams of up to 45 members. Responsible for the safety, security and maintenance of capital equipment valued up to $55million. Operate and undertake minor maintenance on a range of tracked, wheeled, 4WD, diesel and gas turbine engines, plant and vehicles, generators, winches, hydraulic pumps, electronics equipment. Extensive experience with a variety of radio communication platforms including VHF, UHF and specialized encrypted systems. Coordinate trainers and delivery schedules to ensure outcomes are met within time constraints. Develop and facilitate instruction of up to 60 trainees in both a theoretical and practical environment. Conduct safety supervisory duties during various military activities inc. live fire exercises and working at heights. Command an M1A1 Abrahams tank within a formation to ensure the objectives are met.
