I am a Registered Engineer and Fellow of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) I hold a Master of Arts in Economic Policy Management from the University of Zambia, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, from the Copperbelt University. I previously served on critical parliamentary committees at the National Assembly of Zambia, giving me the exposure and training on public policy matters relating to Mining, Energy, Water, Local Government and Health. Professionally I have worked for three companies in the mining sector; Luanshya Copper Mines, Mopani Copper Mines and Atlas Copco. At community level, I was elected Mayor of the city of Kitwe and President of the Local Government Association of Zambia.
Was a member of three Parliamentary Committees, notably; 1. On Energy, Water and Tourism 2. On Media , Information Communications and Technology 3. On Local Governance and Traditional Affairs
Providing leadership in lobbying central government to support the work of all the 116 Municipalities (local authorities) in Zambia
Responsible for overseeing development programmes for the City of Kitwe
Representing residents of Riverside Ward in Kitwe by submitting challenges affecting them to the local authority .
Responsible for selling Air Compressors , dryers, Air receivers and Standby Generators to all mining companies in Zambia.
