Charged with advancing the Company’s Group Benefits business strategy and continuing its growth across all markets. Through its Group Benefits business, Guardian helps employers to attract and retain top talent by offering high quality employee benefits. Guardian’s offerings include Dental, Vision, Life, Disability and Absence Management, Mental Wellness through Spring Health, and Supplemental Health products such as Hospital Indemnity Insurance and Critical Illness.
Recruited to build a centralized operations and service team designed to create an exceptional, effortless, and unified customer experience across Guardian’s Individual Markets, Group Benefits, and Direct-to-Consumer businesses. Responsible for the core insurance operations of new business, policy administration, and customer service.
Founding leader of this group when we united over 40 independent operating groups, across 40+ countries and 14,000 associates to create a differentiated customer experience and increase operating leverage. Global Operations has responsibility for core insurance operations related to new business, underwriting, policy administration, call centers, claims, and global shared services. Executive sponsor for the MetLife Way using the Lean management system with deployments reaching over 20,000 associates in sales, operations, call centers, legal, technology and finance.
Chairman of the Board of MetLife Foundation which makes approximately $45 million of grants annually. Repositioned MetLife Foundation's strategy to focus its giving on global financial inclusion. As a result of this strategy, we committed $200M over five years to bringing vital financial knowledge, tools and support to underserved communities in Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and the United States.
