About

Finance professional and engineer with 15+ years in the Banking and Trading industry, combining deep markets expertise with a rigorous quantitative background. Having built my career at the intersection of technology and financial systems, I am now channeling that foundation toward Quantitative Engineering and Analysis — where structured thinking, modelling, and market intuition converge. The CFA Program has sharpened my fluency in portfolio theory, derivatives, fixed income, and investment decision-making — reinforcing what I've observed firsthand across a decade of working in live trading environments. I am actively seeking roles where I can apply quantitative methods to real investment and risk problems — strategy development, alpha research, risk modeling, or structured product analysis. Open to conversations that sit at the crossroads of finance, markets, and rigorous analytical thinking.

As a member of the integration unit, part of information systems department, I have the unique opportunity to work on large scale projects and the first opportunity to work in the public sector. I am in charge of multiple critical applications in various domains, such as: IAM (GINA), HR (SIRH), education (SAFE). I am currently optimising applicative deployment pipelines via code deduplication (removal of 80-85% of redundant code) for better maintainability and reintegrating two (2) applications from scratch for stability and maintainability. Technologies utilised across different projects: • VMWare (RHEL, Windows server standard) • Openshift (Kustomize, Kubernetes manifests, Helm v3) • Infrastructure as Code – IaC (Ansible, Podman) • Continuous integration & Continuous deployment – CI/CD (Gitlab, AWX, GoCD) • Monitoring, Metrics & Traces (Splunk, Grafana) • Code analysis (SonarQube, Nexus) • Version control & Project Management (Git) • Wiki (Atlassian Confluence) • Languages : Python, YAML, PowerShell, Bash

  • Senior DevOps / SRE (Cloud Platform) Engineer – Client: Pictet & Cie at Jems Group
    Mar 2022 - Aug 2024 · 2 yrs 6 mos

As a member of the Software Integration Services (SIS) unit, part of Infrastructure & Production (I&P) department, Tech & Ops (T&O) division, I had the unique opportunity to lead strategical projects and manage people. As a leading member the unit staff engineers group, I was responsible for designing and implementing transversal IT projects for toolset modernisation, reliable self-services offering, and technical debt management, such as: • Creation of an FTP transfers configuration self-service (2’000+ jobs) for better locality and better unit workforce utilisation • Creation of a job scheduling configuration self-service (60’000+ jobs) for better locality and better unit workforce utilisation As a senior DevOps with leadership capabilities, I was responsible for supervising interns and was designated as an internal trainer/instructor on integration techniques, DevOps methodologies and toolset usage. The main business domains my team was covering were Asset Management, Investment Functions, and Risk & Compliance. As such, I was involved in multiple high stakes projects, such as: • Integration lead for an e-signature solution and an electronic identification (e-IDV) solution for the modernisation of the PWM e-banking (involved in RFP process, contract management, cost optimisation and procurement, architecture design and implementation) • Integration of the platforms automating and optimizing business processes, one of the core component of the EDM management suite Technologies utilized across different projects: • Cloud providers (AWS, Azure) • VMWare (RHEL, Windows server standard) • Infrastructure as Code – IaC (Terraform, Puppet, Docker) • Continuous integration & Continuous deployment – CI/CD (Gitlab, Bitbucket) • Monitoring, Metrics & Traces (ELK, Grafana, Prometheus) • Code analysis (SonarQube, Jfrog, Xray) • Version control & Project Management (Git, Gitflow) • Wiki (Atlassian Confluence) • Languages : Python, HCL/YAML, PowerShell, Bash

  • Senior DevOps / SRE / Automation Engineer at Vitol
    Dec 2020 - Feb 2022 · 1 yr 3 mos

As a member of the Analytics team within MIS, responsible of the Deployment Automation program, I had the unique opportunity to pioneer the DevOps practice at Vitol. On top of my responsibility of the CI/CD processes at Vitol, my secondary mission was to retake leadership of the Kafka infrastructure that had become out-of-support and was experiencing increasing defects. Rebuilding Kafka broker clusters from scratch, imagining and implementing a cluster-to-cluster replication inspired by the blue-green deployment strategy (a first of a kind based on Confluent experts) were paramount in the successful upgrade w/o loss of availability. While designing the upgrade, I explored Kafka component in-depth and took the advantage of optimising R/W performances per topics/usecases (calibration of partitions and replicas counts, min ACK, min ISR, etc.). I also increased the feature scope of the platform (seamless ACL configuration based on as-code description of rules and activation of the Kafka Connect component to run various connectors). I was the main troubleshooter on the platform, and was instrumental in solving complex issues associated with the ramp-up of the platform (e.g. ISR desync issue). Kafka platform is massively used at Vitol to store and stream business-related time series, such as live price feeds (such as ICE Brent and NYMEX WTI). It is also an important data store for derived data such as forward curves for oil futures prices, and used throughout the organisation (Analytics, Quant, middle office). Technologies utilized across different projects: • VMWare (RHEL, Windows server standard, Windows server core) • Infrastructure as Code – IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Docker) • Continuous integration & Continuous deployment – CI/CD (Jenkins, AWX) • Monitoring, Metrics & Traces (ELK) • Code analysis (SonarQube, Nexus) • Version control & Project Management (Git, Gitversion) • Wiki (Atlassian Confluence) • Languages : Python, HCL/YAML, PowerShell, Bash

As a member of the Analytics team within MIS, responsible of the Deployment Automation program, I had the unique opportunity to pioneer the DevOps practice at Vitol. My primary mission was to retake leadership of the CI/CD pipeline infrastructure that had accumulated some technical debt and was experiencing increasing defects. Expanding CI infrastructure horizontally, rewriting CI library and creating a deployment infrastructure from scratch to run (Linux/Windows) containers were key decisions to achieve seamless deployments while adhering to GitOps & DevSecOps best practices. I was the sole maintainer of the CI/CD infrastructure and was responsible for supervising the activity of 50+ developers worldwide, encompassing an heterogeneous language ecosystem (.NET Standard/Framework/Core, React.JS, Python, C++, C#, VB), including business intelligence scope as well (Qlik Sense). I was involved in various projects, such as: - Wave: Ship locator and travel visualisation Web application, tracking 7'500+ ships/tankers across the globe in real-time - Shark: Cargo composition and valuation tool, both a Web application and a Desktop client, tracking supply chain costs and fees and establishing cargo prices forecasts at destination - Ivy: Versatile curve composer and visualisator to enables fetching data from various sources and building curves and graphs exposed via API - ABC Blender: Blending application that optimises mixes of crude and distillates based on input constraints (including market prices) Technologies utilized across different projects: • VMWare (RHEL, Windows server standard, Windows server core) • Infrastructure as Code – IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Docker) • Continuous integration & Continuous deployment – CI/CD (Jenkins, Rudder, Octopus Deploy) • Monitoring, Metrics & Traces (ELK) • Code analysis (SonarQube, Nexus) • Version control & Project Management (Git, Gitversion) • Wiki (Atlassian Confluence) • Languages : Python, HCL/YAML, PowerShell, Bash
