Accountable for end-to-end Supply Chain Planning Performance, globally for all 9 Business Units in BD. - Leading Global Demand, Supply and Inventory strategies. - Partnering with global and regional commercial organizations, Manufacturing Operations and Global Trade & Logistics. - Accountable for the Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process and the Network Planning globally. - Leading the company wide Global end-to-end Supply Chain Planning Process Excellence strategy and organization
- Responsible for the aggregated & detailed demand and supply planning of all products for the Netherlands retail and out-of-home market (8 European MFG Plants + External global suppliers). - Management responsibility over the demand planning team (7 FTE), an Opertional IT Support officer (1 FTE), the regional masterdata team for NL, BE and DE (5 FTE) and the subcontracting team (2 FTE). - Executional leader in the Sales & Operations Planning process to deliver and facilitate accurate sales forecasting, optimal inventory levels and maximum customer service levels, in collaboration with Commercial Leadership Team. - Pivotal role in the execution and delivery of strategic projects in all business units (Innovation projects, SKU optimization projects, Network footprints, ...). - Responsible for the accurate & timely delivery of customer, material and pricing masterdata in the supply chain region of NL, BE and DE.
- Responsible for the aggregated & detailed demand and supply planning of all products for the Belgian retail and out-of-home market, including the Annual Operating Plan and running the Monthly S&OP process - Direct people management responsibility over the demand planning team (3 FTE) and the subcontracting team (2 FTE); - Leads Sales & Operations - Champion and sponsor of various cross-functional business performance improvement initiatives; >> Accomplishments (among others): - Core project team member of the setup of a central supply chain planning approach for the new global D.E Master Blenders 1753 company (New Business Model). - Successful carve-out of the Household & Body Care business unit to 3 different FMCG companies (Unilever, P&G & SC Johnson). - Roll-out of the Supply Chain shared service organizational model for the Foodservice business unit. - Implementation of an S&OP process in one business unit, and further improvement in another. - Business performance improvements on forecast accuracy and inventory levels through the introduction of lean process improvement and integral performance management.
The methodology we use is Lean; the approach however is mainly plain common sense and a big chunk of enthusiasm to continuously make those small steps towards excellence. Working on various business topics for the two Belgian businesses: Coffee & Tea and Household & Body Care. Goal is to improve our sales, marketing, supply chain and financial performance to a best-in-class level through Lean methodologies for the following processes: S&OP, New Product & Promo Mgt. - Setup of the Lean Ambassador Programme - Trainer in the Sara Lee Lean Academy (trained +100 lean experts) - As a process expert in integrating the annual customer negotiations cycles both on a local and global level
- Lead major process and performance improvement initiatives to support the strategic Functional and Company goals and customer satisfaction requirements. - Act as a knowledge center for process tools and techniques that will act as a catalyst of continuous improvement within the division, embedding a continuous improvement culture within the organization. - Training, coaching, facilitating and mentoring colleagues throughout the improvement initiatives.
Execute and support operational effectiveness projects and continuous improvement (six sigma) in the distribution and supply chain area. Assist in developing new logistics solutions to support business growth.
Initiate, follow up and optimize different customized logistic solutions & models for strategic customers (both external & internal) like major distribution channels, third party logistics providers, direct sales models and/or worldwide inter-company product flows.
