About

I am a Senior Researcher and Project Lead specializing in Global Health, Health Economics, and Social Protection. I advise the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, BMZ, on health and social policy issues in international development contexts and teach health policy, health financing, and impact evaluation. I am also an Associate Researcher at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (HIGH), Chair of the Development Cooperation Committee of the German Health Economics Association, and a member of the Research Group on Development Economics of the German Economic Association. My research focuses on health systems and health financing, social protection, and the health implications of climate related and other systemic shocks, particularly in low and middle income countries. I have extensive experience in designing, acquiring, and managing policy oriented research and advisory projects, working closely with ministries, international organizations, and development partners. My work combines applied research with strategic policy advice, aiming to translate evidence into actionable recommendations for decision makers.
