Christof is geographer by training. The topics of urban development, water, climate change and sustainable development were accompanying Christof during the last fifteen years of his career while he has managed projects on IWRM, urban water supply and sanitation, urban mobility, e-governance and urban resilience. Christof has lived and worked in South-Asia and Sub-Sahara Africa. As program manager he was in charge of SECO’s infrastructure projects in Peru, Bolivia an subsequently in Ukraine and Colombia. Christof was also engaged in advancing SECO’s economic cooperation strategy in the urban mobility and the water sector and was a member of the steering board of the Swiss Water Partnership. As Deputy Head of Section Christof leads a team of 6 Program Managers in charge for SECO's infrastructure financing projects in Western Balkans, Ukraine and Kirgistan. I am heading the team of 6 program managers responsible for the infrastructure financing portfolios of SECO in Western Balkans, Ukraine and Kirgistan. Key areas of intervention are in the field of sustainable urban development, urban transport, climate change, water and sanitation, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Programme Management for the action areas Water resources management, climate change adaptation and water stewardship. Advising the Zambian Ministry for Water and the national regulator in WRM and organizational development, strategy development and capacity development.
Manage a project with the objective to consider climate change in water resources management and monitoring. Support the ministry of water in the establishment of the water resources management authority. Initiate and manage water stewardship initiatives.
Leading e-governance team with aim to digitize administrative processes in municipalities and to introduce One Stop Service Centers for better service provision of the municipalities
Consulting a GIS Project for Urban Poverty Mapping
Enhancing project cycle management including the application of GIS for monitoring and reporting
Responsible for conducting a feasibility study to improve project and portfolio monitoring and reporting by applying GIS
