I led efforts in the Golden Triangle area to establish a local breastfeeding coalition and obtained 501(c)3 status. Our Coalition has hosted training opportunities for local health care providers, in addition to recognizing local breastfeeding-friendly businesses, as well as providing resources on our active Facebook page.
Lead efforts to bring together breastfeeding supporters from all disciplines and backgrounds to collaborate and coordinate on activities to educate health care professionals on the importance of breastfeeding and support breastfeeding families in North Mississippi.
Designed flyers, created a Facebook page, and sent out mailings to gain exposure and awareness of the new North Mississippi Breastfeeding Coalition.
