Project manager alternative fuels for commercial engines
Doctoral Thesis (Dr.-Ing.)
The focus of my thesis lies on the development of Gasoline Controlled Autoignition (GCAI), a hybrid between gasoline and Diesel combustion methods. As GCAI has great potential to significantly reduce fuel consumption and NOx emissions, the downside is the limited operating range and difficult controllabilty. By improving the controllability I will try to bring the development of GCAI engines one step closer from the test bench to the street.
My main task as an intern is to develop, test and analyze different prototype combustion strategies on a gasoline engine with the goal to increase engine efficiency.
Assisting combustion engine experiments and analysis for the Mechanical Engineering Bachelor students.
