With 12 years of experience trading and distributing plastic resins, I have honed my skills in supply chain management, finance, credit and risk assessment, and business development. My professional journey has taken me across Argentina, New Zealand, Uruguay, Peru, and Mexico, where I have developed local/global suppliers, including resin producers and distributors, forming strategic alliances. I am an expert in trading commodities with a strong focus on polyolefins and trade finance. -Creation and development of markets where Syrus didn´t have a presence (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, etc) -Development of sourcing with new suppliers (traders and producers) to feed all the markets of Syrus Group. -Supervision of supply chain process of all the orders non-Braskem. -Handling of existing credit lines and development of new ones. -Coordination of 100% of the sales of non-Braskem products (40% of total sales of Syrus S.A in 2020). -Sales to China of PE, PS, and PP, spot and through Off-takes agreements (prime and off-grade material). -Purchase manager of 100% of the product of Syrus Peru (local distribution). -Development of new agents’ contracts in order to go deeper in currents and new markets. Sales to Africa in a spot way. -Diversification of products: from PE and PP to PVC, PC, TIO2, PS, PET, PET sheets, Calcium Carbonate, Masterbatch, etc.
-Coordinate and supervise commercial, financial, and logistics activities for Syrus México, managing a team of 21 people across the Mexican republic. -Responsible for the P&L of the company along with the follow up of the auditory process and reporting to the holding. From 15 MM USD annual turnover to 50 MM USD in 4 years. -Develop new material sourcing to reduce dependency on the main supplier and diversify product offerings. -Manage purchases for imported materials, accounting for 30-35% of total material. -Ensure financial development and risk control for Syrus México and the group, fostering relationships with financial institutions and local and international insurance companies. Develop credit lines exceeding 12 million USD. -Serve as Relationship Manager with Braskem Idesa and foreign suppliers, logistics suppliers, and financial institutions.
-Establish the legal entity in Lima, Peru, including team construction and process definition. -Develop and lead market presence, creating and maintaining relationships with suppliers (including Braskem S.A and Braskem Idesa) and customers in Peru. -Ensure financial development and risk control for Syrus Perú and the group, managing relationships with financial institutions and local and international insurance companies. -Coordinate and supervise commercial, financial, and logistics activities for Syrus Perú. -Ensure the sustainable growth of Syrus's image and operations in Peru.
