Leading the daily operations within our Crew Department, focused on the Van Oord Offshore Energy equipment (vessels equipped for Offshore Wind Installation, Cable Laying & Subsea Rock Installation). Our teams exist of approximately 30 crewing professionals, located in Europe, the Middle-East, India and the Philippines. The team exists of Pool Managers, Crewing Officers, Crew Support Officers and Crew Training & Documents experts. With this team, we make sure our group of roughly 1.800 crew members are allocated on our vessels with the right knowledge, competencies, documents and certificates. Within Pool Management, we focus on recruitment, development, succession planning, internal mobility and case management of our marine crew.
Responsible for all occurring HR-related matters with regards to our fleet personnel on board the Van Oord sea-going fleet, executing various projects worldwide. This includes recruitment, development, education, case management etc. Besides our Dutch employees, this includes active involvement with local payrolls for our crew based in India, Ukraine, Baltic states, United Kingdom and over 10 other countries on different continents.
As a Sr. Consultant at the Maritime department, I'm looking for suitable professionals for our clients in the maritime industry worldwide. This job contains: - Handling personnel requests, mostly from clients in the dredging and/or towing & related industries - Selecting candidates, in the range from steward to captain - Negotiating salary and rates with both candidates and client - Inventory of needed courses, trainings and certificates (i.e. STCW) - Handling operational issues such as flights and accommodations - Attending exhibitions and events in order to represent iPS Powerful People
Assisting the Ship Management Department as a Crewing Officer, dedicated to the Offshore and Offshore Wind equipment. Plan and facilitate nautical and technical crew members on board Van Oords vessels such as: Flexible Fallpipe, Heavy Lift, Jack-Up, Stone Dumping, Cable Laying and Pipe Laying equipment.
Managing all kinds of crewing procedures regarding (inland) shipping for our European clients. Tasks contain crew recruitment & planning, issuing of documents and visa, arranging travel tickets. Staying in touch with our principals, agencies in- and outside Europe, travel agency, immigration service, embassies and several maritime authorities. Develop and implement new policy, based on actual rules and regulations concerning labour, border crossing employment and immigration in Western Europe and Asia.
