A part time job in community pharmacies, at the location in Putte on Saturdays and all the locations during the holidays. Work consists of receiving, loading and unloading incoming goods from wholesalers and manufacturers, helping patients at the desk and sorting out the weekly robot-dispensed unit doses. This job has been my introduction to working in a community pharmacy and as such has proven to be a valuable experience for my studies.
An internship of 5 weeks at an institute which has the ambition of becoming a centre of expertise on medication safety in developing countries. During this placement I worked on a project about how medication safety is embedded in major donor-sponsored public health programmes. The reason of this choice is that I wanted to widen my view about the career possibilities in pharmacy.
An internship of 6 weeks organized by Utrecht University to reach learning goals in practice of a community pharmacy. The focus was on all the aspects of the job of a community pharmacist. I learned a lot about performing leadership in a small team. I will take these experiences with me during my career.
