I also had the chance to gain experience as Entrepreneur, Founder and CEO of a private equity backed Internet Start up. My passion is all about Growth and Impact. Sustainable and profitable growth is vital for the long term health of any business and I am convinced that profitable growth can be achieved everywhere - no matter the category and no matter the geography. Growth is a Mindset. As I have successfully lead many turn arounds in different geos and categories and it was very visible that starting the turn around with a clear and engaging mission and building a strong and agile growth cultures was mission critical. Together with a clear growth agenda and rigor in executional excellence, it proofed that Growth driven turn arounds drive long term and structural results over just short term minded profit fixes. Yet my passion for growth doesn’t stop with profitable business growth. In this role I am responsible for the Danone business across South East Asia, India, Middle East and Africa as well as being a member of Danone’s Executive Committee.
In this role, I was responsible to lead the Global Plant Based Category for Danone. A unit that leads the global Plant Based Brands like Alpro and owns the strategy for Danone’s Plant Based business across different categories and geographies. Prior to leading this Plant Based Unit, I was the study lead during 2021 to design and set up the dedicated Plant Based Unit.
In this role as President Danone Waters I am heading the Danone Waters WBU (Worldwide Business Unit) reporting to the CEO International in addition to my responsibilities as President Danone Waters Europe, Middle East and EvianVolvic International. Key priority in this role is to lead together with the Global Divisional Leadership Team the strategy and execution for Danone’s Global Water Business with a focus on short term profit and growth recovery given the impact COVID19 had on the business since 2020. At the same time a focus lies on redefining the long term profitable growth strategy and sustainability agenda for the Waters Category in Danone in a context of changing consumer behavior post COVID19 and in full alignment with Danone’s OnePlanet One Health Mission.
