Permian Asset Team Proposed data-driven process improvements to Operations Engineering team to resulting in an estimated $6MM in CAPEX of vertical well abandonment, annually. Gained hands-on experience of vertical operations engineering through field exposure and working with TIBCO Spotfire, Wellview, and other various oil and gas software. Executed a cost and failure analysis of historical vertical well abandonment. Developed abandonment risk matrix for Production Engineering team, based on downhole wellbore integrity and historical well characteristics, allowing for a streamlined engineering-based decision for vertical well abandonment on a well by well basis. Presented proposals and process improvements to Irving corporate office in addition to Permian Basin field offices.
