Hofer Medical was founded in 1976 in Tyrol by Friedrich and Roswitha Hofer. In 2003, the new owner , Dipl.-Ing. Christian Maier, relocated the company’s headquarter to Fuerstenfeld. Today, Hofer-medical employs 45 driven persons who turned the company to an international medical technology company in developing, manufacturing and distributing implants for trauma and spine. The product portfolio includes implants as well as instrumentsfor fracture healing and spine treatment. For its customers, mainly hospitals, Hofer-medical envisions itself as a problem solver, service provider and cost-conscious partner. Its 24/7 service and its high customer-orientation allow tailor-made solutions and maximised productivity. Constant qualification of employees in all areas, intensive exchange of experiences with surgeons and permanent selfcritical reflection are the prime movers of improvement.
