About

I have been a photojournalist for three years. I am currently the Managing Editor of Langley High School's yearbook (The Shire). In the two previous years, I worked as a Staffer and then the Photo Editor. In my time working on the yearbook, I have put most of my focus on photography. Langley’s yearbook in 2023-2024 was ranked as one of the 15 best yearbooks in the country that represent “Varsity Yearbook.” In the Summer of 2025, I worked as a congressional intern in the office of Virginia Representative Ben Cline. In that experience, I did research for cases and assisted staff with their work.

I started working on the Langley High School Yearbook, also known as The Shire, in my sophomore year of high school. I started as a regular staff taking photos of school events and finding content for our spreads in the yearbook. In my Junior year, I gained the position of Photo Editor. I was entrusted to be the primary photographer for events that we covered in the yearbook. As an editor, I was also leading staff in the process of creating spreads. In my Senior year, I rose to the position of Managing Editor. Being second to the Editors in Chief, my job was to organize staff and editors into the most optimal spread for them to work on for each of our deadlines. Although I was no longer Photo Editor, still I kept the roles and responsibilities I had in that position.
