I obtained my bachelors degree in Biology/Biotechnology from Endicott College along with a wide range of experience from previous internships and my high school lab. I worked in collaboration with Dr. Lauren O'Connell's lab from Harvard University and other internships to gain the knowledge I have today. Much of my experience has come from the internships I have done that consisted of both lab work and data analysis. I have developed many useful skills including gel electrophoresis, PCR and extensive use of R from these internships that I know would be beneficial to any company that hired me.
Designed and implemented scripts to automate redundant tasks. Constructed R programs to analyze raw data and create visualizations automatically. These programs increased the efficiency of the data processing pipeline and reduced time expended drastically. Created Python scripts to accelerate data transfer and organization.
Successfully founded an E-commerce repair/resale business. Responsibilities include acquiring inventory, repairing items, pricing analysis, packaging/shipment and customer service. Tasked with repairing a variety of appliances/electronics including computers, lab equipment, TV’s, solar panels, espresso/sewing machines and 3D printers. Utilize soldering iron, variable power supply, multi-meter, and various other tools daily.
Collaborated with the RNA Research Division of the Bioinformatics team to analyze Next Generation Sequencing data and provide results to the researching scientists. Performed RNA sequencing analysis pipeline using command line and generated presentations to show progress made weekly. Discussed advancements made with researching scientist to see what direction they wanted to go in. Presented finalized results to the research scientist and provided interpretation of them.
Worked independently to develop R scripts that would analyze output data. Performed protein digests, HPLC and peak collection. Collected data and created reports to visualize results using R. Generated report templates to make data analysis more efficient.
Organized documents from an online database into specific folders on the computer. Worked with the team to organize design build plans for the project. Went out onto different work sites to observe work being done.
