Responsible for all warehouses of the Base Logistics Group, including the warehouses of Base Logistics and HealthLink and all partner warehouses. Responsible for Engineering for the Entire Base Logistics Group, including Base Logistics, HealthLink and SLS. Responsible for customer care department of Base Logistics. Responsible for a wide range of VAS activities performed globally in our own warehouses and partner warheouses, including refurbishment, mechanical upgrades, battery checks, server wiping and IT provisioning. We have about 250 ~ 300 customers trusting them with their goods in our warehouses for which we deliver outstanding performance each and every day.
Responsible for all projects of new logistics implementation in Europe for Samsung Electronics. In this role I am responsible for project management, warehouse solutions and transport solutions: scope, quality, budgets and timelines.
As Head of Business Implementation I am responsible for all new business implementations in Europe and the CIS region. I manage a team of project managers/business implementation managers working and living throughout Europe. The main focus of my team is opening new warehouses, implementing transport solutions and implementing new customers. Next to new business implementation my team also focuses on business improvements.
Head of the distribution center including inbound and outbound transport, from factories until delivery to the customers. Also including return flows from all over Europe to Slowakia, Netherlands and Korea. Responsible for a workforce of over 300 FTE.
As Manager Logistics Innovation I am responsible for all projects on outbound logistics that are coordinated from the European HQ. I have a small team of project managers with which we work throughout Europe. Among the projects that I have led myself are: -cost saving project in Russia on consolidation of outbound transport, including IT adjustments; -implementation of a new customer, including selecting new building, opening building, fit-out, staffing, IT solutions, operations start-up; -business case development for new e-com and high value delivery services for the German market; -business case development for insourcing transport management in the UK; -business case development for operations in Australia from the Sydney office; -pilot of 48h delivery of white goods to the German market; -implementation of a new TMS for brown good operations for Germany including new functionalities; -a business case for a warehouse in Ireland for Samsung Electronics in case of Brexit; -business case development for transport management solution in Baltics; -setting up home delivery services. Among projects for which I am accountable for that are managed by one of my project managers are: -implementation of a new TMS for the East European Distribution Center for Samsung in Slovakia; -implementation of a new TMS including many new enhanced functionalities for local distribution in Italy; -implementation of a new TMS for local distribution in Sweden/Nordics; -implementation of enhanced Inbound Freight Systems for Netherlands, Sweden/Nordics, Italy; -moving stock from the Netherlands to a new facility in Germany to operate closer to the local market for ecom. Projects are specifically tight on timeline and stakeholder management. All projects are internationally staffed and performed in different time zones including Korea.
In this position I have combined the part catalog team with another department and thereby created the department Supply Chain Documentation. This department is responsible a.o. for: -Part catalog database that is used throughout the company, both for new built as well as for services and e-store -Standard article drawings and standard instruction drawings -Making norms available within Damen -Updating and maintenance of the Damen handbooks containing the standardization knowledge -Green passport and non-asbestos declarations -Writing of vessel operating manuals -The delivery of all technical documentation to a customer at the delivery of his vessel -Repro There work around 35 FTE at Supply Chain Documentation. The department is positioned within the Supply Chain department as there are many interfaces with the suppliers of Damen.
It was my task to combine three teams coming from different departments to one team to update the database of all the parts that are used at Damen. For a specific period I have enlarged the team with twelve persons. After finishing that phase I have reduced the resources to a smaller core team that handles more than before while offering more service to the internal customers.
Responsible for the purchasing of materials for a specific project for our Offshore and Transport department that is built in Romania. This includes strategic purchases and long lead items as well as other items. Materials need to be: -of the correct specifications; -timely available; -against the right conditions; -with correct documentation; -and certification; -within budget. Most of all quality in the broadest sense is at the top of the requirements!
Working on an ERP implementation as chairman of the Distribution Logistics workgroup. Respsonsible for the introduction of a new Data Collection solution. After the design training personnel was part of the implementation. Also I have given pitches to other Damen subsidiaries to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of the made choices with the current implementation. Participating in a Business Intelligence project. After the successfull design of a dashboard in Excel this was implemented in a specialized BI tool. Participation in Integral Cooperation in Shipbuilding in the 4D planning and progress programme which focusses among others on the use of RFID technology and other process innovations. Chairman of a subproject called 'Integration in the Supply Chain' to improve the data sharing between Damen and its core suppliers to reduce failure costs.
Design of a logistical performance measurement system to manage the logistical processes for building new ships from material identification till delivery at shipyards overseas with a strong focus on the organizational structure of the company.
