My career at IBM spans internal and external communications, where I currently serve as content creator and editor, and have experience as media relations lead, executive speech writer, and social media manager. I'm most proud of being a part of the team that launched IBM Watson's breakthrough AI technology on Jeopardy! in 2011, and the team that put the world's first universal quantum computer on the cloud in 2016 – and is leading the industry in this nascent technology field.
Communicating all-things IBM Quantum and IBM Quantum Safe.
I manage the IBM Research blog and other web content, working with a team of writers, web developers, social strategists, and agency partners to develop and produce content that features IBM Research leadership and the eminence of company scientists across artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud, quantum computing, and other research domains. I also have a lead role in developing communications content and plans for IBM Quantum research and community activities, including blog articles, bylines, and events, such as hosting virtual panel discussions with media, clients and other industry experts.
I worked in external communications, with a primary focus on driving news and informational content about IBM's quantum computing breakthroughs, including: published research by IBM scientists and our collaborators; the progress of new and more powerful quantum hardware, available publicly and commercially over the cloud; and industry use cases by IBM and its partners that are making quantum applications more possible and practical, everyday. Since 2017, IBM Quantum advancements have earned more than 1,000 stories, globally. I've also covered IBM Research work in semiconductors and materials research, including the June 2017 announcement of the world's first 5nm nanosheet transistor which earned more than 150 global stories. And In March 2017, I managed IBM's communications at South by Southwest, which earned more than 50 global stories.
