Greater Asheville
I am an experienced professional with a background in Human Resources, College Consulting, Legal Services, Higher Education, Financial Aid and Alumni Relations. Whether it was college students or retirees, I have enjoyed directly helping people in tangible ways and look forward to continuing to do so. My background and experiences have afforded me a unique perspective that comes through in my day to day work and positive interactions with clients. I enjoy implementing new systems and procedures that improve effectiveness and efficiency through data analysis and statistics. Working smarter is always preferable to working harder, but I am willing to do both when necessary. I pride myself on finishing what I start and sprinting through the finish line, and I welcome being surrounded by like minded individuals. My greatest professional and personal achievements revolve around finding a way forward when the path seems unlikely. Helping secure benefits for pro bono clients when they have been denied time and time again, or resolving to find just a few thousand dollars more in financial aid for a deserving young student to ensure they can afford college - though at times painstaking and difficult - are the moments in life made all the more rewarding due largely to the fact that few even thought they were possible.
