In my interim role as Director Store Operations at ALDI SÜD, I am responsible for leading and developing a team of up to 9 managers within the Store Operations department, overseeing nearly 50 stores. My primary goal is to achieve both quantitative and qualitative sales objectives while maintaining a strong focus on sustainable customer orientation. This involves ensuring smooth business operations, adherence to key milestones, high customer satisfaction, and optimized cost structures and loss management. In the fast-paced and volatile retail environment, I leverage the initiative and proactive thinking of my team to successfully implement the strategic direction of the sales organization. Close collaboration with Warehouse Operations and Supply Chain Management is crucial in optimizing the entire supply chain and ensuring product availability.
As Director Warehouse Operations at ALDI SÜD, I lead and develop high-performing teams, while establishing efficient structures and processes across the entire supply chain. My role is focused on driving continuous improvements and optimizing operations to achieve both qualitative and quantitative goals. I manage a distribution center with approximately 300 employees and oversee regional logistics for over 100 stores in the greater Nuremberg area, ensuring a seamless and reliable supply of goods to stores. In a dynamic and fast-paced environment, I balance sustainable customer orientation with operational efficiency, always aiming to set new benchmarks for ALDI's warehouse operations. As an active member of the ALDI National Warehouse Operations & Supply Chain Committee, I contribute to strategic initiatives and drive operational improvements across the network. I am also involved in the Personnel and Organizational Guidelines working groups, ensuring alignment and the implementation of best practices within the company.
Acted as interim Director of Store Operations during a colleague's three-month sabbatical, ensuring continuity and maintaining operational excellence.
Completed a Bachelor’s degree program with a strong emphasis on Change Management, combining rigorous academic study with practical experience. The program featured alternating three-month study terms on campus and equally long internship terms, providing a balanced foundation of theoretical knowledge and hands-on application.
Completed an international internship term as part of the Bachelor’s program at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University, gaining valuable cross-cultural and professional experience.
