Also offering motivationally positive talks for youth and young adults in high schools and colleges at dozens of locations in rural and inner-city venues. Good Counsel helps homeless pregnant and parenting mothers and babies take the next good steps in life. With a national helpline, houses, Life Skills programs, after-care support and much more, Good Counsel offers safety, security and opportunities to return to school, begin vocational training and start careers for young mothers. Baby sitting in Good Counsel homes affords new mothers the opportunities to begin such productive endeavors. Children are evaluated and given great care before and after birth. Some mothers have older children who are able to return to school too. Tremendous possibilities open up at Good Counsel offering great hope for the future of each mother and child thanks to professionally trained staff and dedicated volunteers.
Malta House was founded by Good Counsel, Inc., and the Order of Malta in Connecticut to help pregnant and parenting homeless mothers and babies take the next good step.
Koinonia Academy educates the whole child with a priority on raising Catholic Christian students who have a strong moral character coming from a deep, abiding faith in God and their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. KA, founded in 1984 by The People of Hope, a charismatic, covenant community, always had Christian Character formation as the key linked to a strong academic foundation.
