Created innovative & award winning HCP, Consumer, Pharmacy & Managed Markets strategies/tactical plans driven by advisory boards and market research. An experienced Medical Education Marketer (Medical/Scientific information/communication), responsible for Key Opinion Leader development, speaker programs & clinical investigator meetings. Experienced in all phases of life cycle management from launch through loss of exclusivity. Has managed in-line and global products and portfolios and has been integral in multiple international product launches in countries such as Canada, Spain, Italy, Germany, U.K., Japan and Australia. Since 2021 he has been supporting J&J in the early development and expansion to support the launch of cutting edge Cell Therapy (CAR-T) technology in hematology (multiple myeloma).

Responsible for creating promotional and scientific strategy for new product launches, providing commercial and scientific evaluations of external technologies as potential commercial development opportunities. Responsible for ensuring optimal access and reimbursement. Lead Medical Education/Information and cultivation of relationships with key opinion leaders in the therapeutic area and leveraging these relationships to develop CME programs and assist in product promotions. I engaged with opinion leaders to develop post-marketing (phase IV) clinical studies & was the scientific liaison w/investigators. Manage advocacy activity w/physicians, healthcare professionals, hospital groups, policy makers & public health. Interact/guide medical policy guideline boards. Develop Sales Training (product, disease state and clinical care materials). Conduct/lead advisory board w/key OLs. Articulate new scientific & medical discoveries and how they may impact Alere’s markets, business & products. Develop/implement technical marketing strategies to protect or promote Alere products and make recommendations for scientific programs/activities to take advantage of these discoveries. Cultivate relationships w/payers, governmental / policy agencies (HHS, CDC, FDA, etc.) and leverage these relationships to assist in product promotions. Leadership of KOL development and subject matter expert. Coordinated efforts w/our regulatory & clinical affairs to ensure prompt and successful interactions w/regulatory bodies (FDA, CDC, etc.) This includes all PMA. 510(k) and CLIA Waiver activities.
Global Strategic Brand Lead for flagship HIV product line/franchise (Viramune, Viramune XR & Aptivus). Responsible for life cycle management, brand strategy, promotional/tactical plan development and implementation, management of pharmacy & trade and payer/managed markets marketing strategy and implementation for products with peak annual sales of $400MM and management of 7-figure promotional budget. Leading life-cycle management, including responsibility for development of brand & promotional strategies and launch of product line extension prior to LOE. Includes creation of overall launch strategy including promotional creative campaign, messaging and tactical plan development, payer market access plan and pharmacy/supply chain launch plan. Responsible for pricing, forecasting, managing promotional budget, key (government & advocacy) account management, Sales Training, POA planning and roll-out. Led teams in development of numerous high-profile initiatives including first in category sample/starter kit, communication/roll-out of new study data and long-term brand retention/optimization plan, including strategies for Managed Markets and loss of patent/generic competition. Led team to highly successful launch of extended release product exceeding 2012 target conversion goals by 150% resulting in 50% increase in projected Sales for 2013.
