About

I'm an experienced engineer chartered in the following three areas: asset management, project management and mechanical engineering. I like to get things done, turning ideas into high quality real outcomes that deliver benefit and value to my business. I'm confident with my project management skills from my time with Fluor and Downer. I have reviewed and provided guidance for all manner of contract models from schedule of rates all the way through to Public Private Partnership contracts in both Australia and New Zealand. I have led strategic projects to increase project management governance, delivery performance and earned value capabilities in Downer's Public Private Partnership portfolio. Likewise I am confident in my knowledge and application of asset management, as evidenced by my role writing, governing and continuously improving Australia's first ISO55001 certified Asset Management System. Additionally, I've led the delivery of ISO55001 consulting services to deliver compliant systems for external clients for Downer. I currently provide asset management support and guidance to internal Downer businesses across roads, light rail, rail, renewables, oil and gas, utilities, health, education, corrections, defense and data centers across Australia and New Zealand. I have experience in ISO19650 part 3, Building Information Modelling (BIM) for the Operational Phase of Assets through overseeing the achievement of Australia's first ISO19650.3 certification for Downer Group. I have done many things in my career to date, secondments to project controls, contract claims management, underground construction, project management, operations engineer, asset management, developing CPEng and graduate programs for my employer and asphalt plant engineering to name a few. I believe that all of these things have helped me gain the breadth of knowledge that allows me to solve problems and add value for my employer. The translation of tangible outcomes from ideas is what I like best, getting things done, both to high quality and things that deliver benefits for my company as a whole. This includes imparting knowledge and training to the next generation of engineers, this is part of my role that I enjoy, seeing someone "get it" for themselves is always exciting as a senior engineer.
