I have been working in the non-profit field for a number of years which includes publishing, public relations, media relations, program development, grant writing and teaching. I have always had a true passion for helping at-risk youth. I am currently utilizing much of that experience as the Director of The Boys & Girls Club of Vineland. It is a great pleasure for me as a professional person to be involved with the Boys & Girls Club movement and help young people reach their full potential. It is challenging but it gives me hope that a community can change by working together to acheive goals through positive activities, programs and services. Specialties: Media/public relations, grant writing, photography, newsletter design and production, program development, and leadership skills.
Youth development organization
Supervise all program activities for youth organization, a full-time educational and recreational after-school organization in Vineland, New Jersey - Oversee personnel and volunteers and interface closely with board of directors - Coordinate grantwriting, fundraisers, media relations, marketing, and publicity - Work closely with community & elected officials on projects and collaborations
Directed after-school programs for inner-city youth (K-8) - Monitored program, supervised aides, developed monthly newsletter - Created and implemented learning curriculum for over 20-25 children
- Taught migrant workers' children (pre-school) - Prepared students for kindergarten with emphasis on English as a Second Language
