Chris Tan is an Audit Principal with 13 years of experience in Public Accounting in Malaysia and mainly led audits for public listed companies and large multinational corporations. He is also involved in Global IFRS and Offerings Services related transactions which include both local and cross-border Initial Public Offerings (“IPO”) and Reporting Accountants for various corporate exercises. He has involved in the audit of multinational corporations and listed companies in a diverse range of sectors including Consumer Product & Services, Retail, Wholesale & Distribution, Oil and Gas, Water, Recycling, Logistic, Construction, Industrial products and Services, and Advertising Media. This audit experience spans IFRS but also USGAAP and PCAOB audits. He has significant experience in the review of entities’ internal control pursuant to Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements, risk management controls and practices. Chris Tan is responsible with the establishment of innovation and analytics function in Malaysia, elevating the synergies between audit and analytics, executing the automation of audit processes, and deployment of analytics and innovation tools for mass adoption in Malaysia office. In his role of Innovation & Technology Leader, Chris Tan has also developed a constructive working relationship with Malaysian Institute of Accountants in the implementation of eConfirm and management of Confirmation.com – the global premier confirmation tool.
