Audit Manager leading teams of up to 12 to deliver the audits of UK listed clients at both a group and subsidiary level, with particular focus on the aerospace, defence and manufacturing industries. Experienced in various levels of reporting requirements such as Companies Act, including the recent UK GAAP to FRS101/102 transition requirements, IFRS (including the forthcoming IFRS 15 and IFRS 16) and the UK Code of Corporate Governance. Experience in other non-audit engagements such as government grant assurance, a billion dollar bond issuance, tender activity and the production of a transition document. Key highlights include: • Owned the project management, the winning proposal documents, a ground-up pricing model, global coordination as part of a team of 4 that successfully won a new FTSE 250 audit client for the firm. • Developed a new data analytics tool offered as part of a proposal to a new client and a custom tool to assist the tracking of hours and costs of over 100 people versus budget. • Led the firm’s recent methodology change around the audit approach to pension scheme assets, an area that has come under recent FRC scrutiny. • Member of the KPMG Academy Society, a 17-member team that shapes the experience of junior colleagues in the firm and recently presented innovative new ideas for driving collaboration to a sponsoring panel of senior partners. • Completed regular training and technical updates.
Provided table and bartending services to numbers sporting events including both county and international cricket matches, the British Grand Prix, Burleigh Horse Trials and Market Rasen races.
Worked Marking examination scripts for the English for Speakers of Other Languages examinations set by Cambridge Assessment.
