Led first-of-its-kind internal technology training and development program, Tech College. Tech College is proprietary platform built entirely in-house by Capital One engineers and technical experts. It’s an engineer-led learning hub that gives associates the tools and the platform to gain and master deeper technical skills, while keeping them in lock step with the rapid pace of change in the industry. Built a robust curriculum comprised of online courses, in-person workshops, partner training, and more, all curated and delivered through a unique user interface – The Tech College Hive. From machine learning to mobile, software engineering to cybersecurity, cloud computing to data, associates are learning skills that will power Capital One's business forward. Learning and people are my passion, and as a Head of Tech College we were able to create a culture where our associates feel empowered to learn new skills, master a new technology, and ultimately drive their career growth.
Led a group responsible for architecture strategy and solutions for the Commercial Bank division of Capital One. Responsibilities include business areas such as Commercial Lending, Treasury Management, Credit Risk, Payments, Capital Markets, Wealth and Asset, Basel II and others. Other responsibilities in the past included Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, Treasury, Human Resources, Corporate Real Estate, Brand, Legal, Audit, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Security, Corporate Affairs and Enterprise Fraud.
Led efforts to develop OSS/BSS roadmaps and system architectures to improve capabilities of client’s telephony products. Acted as interim Technical Support Director for a client reporting directly to CTO and responsible for the collaboration of about 40 resources from a wide variety of stakeholders. As Technical Architect, led business development pursuits for clients in U.S. and abroad. Helped win contracts worth millions of dollars.
Created target architectures and implementation blueprints to deploy solutions in customer care and billing systems for clients in the U.S. and abroad. Worked at client sites domestically and internationally, including telecommunication clients in Switzerland and Germany
