Conducted Phase I site assessments, environmental compliance audits, analytical data validation and interpretation, client and regulatory agency report preparation and proposal submittals and presentations.

Projects included a large groundwater assessment and a RCRA closure plan for a major university in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) area of NC, a multimedia environmental compliance audit for a pharmaceutical manufacturer in RTP, investigation of a closed plumbing fixture manufacturing plant involving chromium plating processes, among many others. Interpreted soil, groundwater, surface water, soil pore water and soil gas data for tabular and graphical presentation, prepared quality assurance project plans, developed data quality objectives and assisted with human health risk assessments. Performed level I-IV organic and inorganic data validation for in-house projects as well as for other offices within the company as needed.
Responsible for all aspects of soil and groundwater sampling, specification of analytical procedures and quality control, data validation, interpretation and reporting for soil and groundwater assessments at several DoD installations in California and Arizona. Conducted air sampling and analysis using solid sorbents, direct-reading instruments, whole-air sampling and cryogenic trapping techniques. Was involved with the Biosphere II project in Arizona, assisting with identifying methods and equipment for analyzing air, water, soil and foodstuffs to ensure chemicals were not accumulating in those media during the isolation experiments. Conducted soil gas studies,and developed and validated a field method for analyzing Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons at underground and above ground petroleum storage tank sites. Was a member of a team that performed multimedia environmental compliance audits for the DoD at several government-owned, company-operated (GOCO) sites in the Southwest, including Lockheed Skunkworks in California.
