Chris has a comprehensive knowledge in his field of expertise and a wealth of experience accumulated over a period of more than 40 years. During his time with Connell Wagner Pty Ltd, Chris was the 'discipline leader' on a variety of very large projects, as well as 'project engineer (leader)' on some projects where the company was engaged on a multi-discipline basis. Because of his experience and technical expertise, Chris has often taken on the role of a mentor for younger designers. He has also been a 'verifier' of design documents produced by colleagues within the hydraulics group, as well as being one of the internal auditors whos role it was to check and ensure that the project 'document trails' were in compliance with recognized QA/QC standards. Chris' design experience of 'Hydraulic Services' include but is not limited to: 'high rise' offices and apartment buildings; theatres and fun-parks; schools; shopping-centres; air-ports; hospitals; mining facilities; port facilities; military and naval bases; recreational; racecourses; and infrastructure such as rail, road and pedestrian tunnels to name a few.
Marketing and fee-proposals; project initiation and conceptual designs including budget estimates; meetings/co-ordination with clients, architects, engineers and authority representatives; design documentation (drawings and specifications); site inspections/supervision and report-writing; financial monitoring and reporting for projects including invoicing; and internal audits (document control).
