My career has spanned leadership roles in Shell, Basrah Gas Company and Schlumberger with responsibility for large geographically dispersed organisations across the Middle East and beyond including Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen and the UAE. Proven track record leading in large organisations spanning operational delivery, through to strategic investments, M&A and business transformation, government engagement and board level advisory roles in complex and challenging environments.
Seconded to Basrah Gas Company (Shell JV). Member of the leadership team, leading Corporate Affairs and stakeholder strategy for Iraq’s largest gas capture and utilisation business. Directed senior engagement with Iraqi government, supported business continuity, strategic growth and crisis management and communications. Oversaw multidisciplinary Corporate Affairs function spanning government relations, social performance, media and social investment. Executive level counsel to the Managing Director and the Board on geopolitical risk, public policy, stakeholder management and strategic positioning.
