I aggressively represent persons accused of State and Federal criminal law violations, including but not limited to drunk driving, gun offenses, drug-related offenses, domestic violence, theft, and white collar crimes. My first priority is to exercise all options that will result in a dismissal of charges. Thereafter other possibilities include a jury trial or effective plea bargaining. I have tried in excess of 60 trials to a jury, securing acquittals of such charges as attempted first degree intentional homicide, first degree recklessly endangering safety while armed with a dangerous weapon, substantial battery, domestic violence battery, disorderly conduct, felon in possession of a firearm, first degree reckless injury, criminal damage to property, and delivery of controlled substances.
Enlisted 1987. Earned commission as Second Lieutenant in 1993 through ROTC. Entered Judge Advocate General Corps in 1996. Served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army Reserve and the Wisconsin Army National Guard from 1996-2014. Deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in 2009 with the 32d Brigade Combat Team where served as Deputy Command Judge Advocate for the Brigade Commander and the primary legal advisor for the International Zone Police Force.
