Algeria
Operational in 2004, In Salah Gas is a joint venture of Sonatrach, ENI (formerely BP) and Equinor to produce 9bn cubic metres of market-ready gas from fields located in the desert of Central Algeria. The country's largest dry gas joint-venture project, In Salah Gas is a major source of gas exports for Algeria to Southern Europe. Drilling and complex 8 x PP&A well campaign at the 'Krechba field' to maintain integrity of the "CO2 Capture Storage" (CCS) wells including the drilling of a Deep Aquifer Well (DAW) for long term CO2 monitoring using KCAD & Enafor (ENF) 1500HP rigs. Also the 6 x ERD to 'Frac' well drilling campaign (1 x P&A) at the 'In Amenas field' (condensate & gas).
Complexed 2 Well campaign in Chamchamal - Kor Mor field, Kurdistan using automated MPD. Challenges included HPHT, 12% H2S and severe to total losses.
Drilled final well to TD in 72 dry hole days using 64% of AFE however the project was terminated after failure to frac using 13,500 psi surface pressure, an equipment limitation pressure record in Algeria.
RKF field block 406A Algeria is a mature field where a complex side-track drilling and work-over well development campaign is currently being undertaken in order to ensure well integrity to avoid any future safety issues. The campaign involves work on six (6) wells: RKF-02, 17, 21, 23, and 04 using Nabors Rig 810.
BMS is operated by BMS Operations Conjoint - BMS OC The OC has 3 partners: Sonatrach Cepsa Petronas Carigali The project can be divided into five parts: 1. Oil gathering system and artificial lift 2. Crude oil processing, storage and export 3. Gas compression and injection 4. Water treatment and injection 5. Support Infrastructure
