After leading a number of large legal teams and occupying board and committee positions across a range of globally listed corporations, I decided to consult to a variety of start-ups and SME’s seeking to reimagine and reinvent traditional market frameworks. From structuring and establishing several early ICO’s in Australia, my interest extended across the breadth of the fintech and digital sectors, including financial payment and digital wallet solutions, digital platform structuring, blockchain, and digital currency and tokenised asset strategies. Accompanying this interest is an involvement in pro-bono NFP work, strategic advisory committees, academic law faculty membership, social impact investment, and environmental action focused on preserving our oceans. Suffice to say it’s kept me busy, and better still introduced me to some amazing like-minded individuals who are similarly focused on increasing economic freedom for everyone and empowering people, particularly those in emerging and developing economies, to access fast, affordable, and secure financial services. As a seed funder, and a Non-Executive Director of a leading global cryptocurrency exchange, I am continually excited about the opportunities which are presenting themselves at the intersection of alternative investment management and financial technology.
