Developed this web-site to also run our call center, warehousing, service and accounting departments. Developed a full line of performance products for the BMW M3, 135 and 535. Managed a team of software developers and project managers in the emerging “Data Discovery” market. Fios worked in many high profile cases by providing our data mining tools to legal teams. Designed and coded Visual Basic applications. Re-Engineered SQL Server 2000 databases for performance, data-integrity and quality. Implemented database normalization. Implemented a queuing mechanism improving throughput by a factor of 50, allowing Fios to significantly increase its revenue stream. Implemented SQL Server coding standards for the development team. Lucy.com was a rapidly growing internet retailer that sold women’s apparel and related products via three channels; on-line (www.lucy.com), by catalog and in stores. At the time, this company was pre-IPO and was featured in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the Oprah Winfrey show, Good Morning America and many other shows and publications. This company also received the 2nd largest second round of venture capital funding in Oregon’s history. Created and managed a team of 10 developers building products and interfaces to support the explosive growth of this company. Managed a warehouse move from Norm Thompson to NCC. This involved the development of software interfaces including: order exporting, order confirmations, returns, backorders, cancellations, purchase orders, inventory reconciliation, and also included the physical movement of all products currently in inventory by Lucy.com. Managed the development of credit card systems to allow for simple and fast credit card processing, the development of software linking Lucy.com to over 10,000 other internet sites, and the development of software sending Lucy.com’s products to large internet shopping malls such as MSN and Yahoo. Designed, developed and implemented order and line level discounting on the web-site, fulfillment house, customer service system, merchandising system, the accounting system and a fully automated email handler that delivers order status from point of origin to fulfillment.
Designed and developed a system to prevent false alarms in the wafer fab which typically result in a one million dollar / day loss. Designed and developed a system to automate data to and from mass spectrometry systems in 8 different facilities. These mass spectrometers are used to determine if wafers built in any location contain impurities by analyzing the liquid left in the sink after the wafer was removed. Designed and developed a system to create a nearly paperless environment for lab technicians by automating many clerical processes along with a robust lab automation system to manage many job functions within each lab.
