Chris Albrecht is an industry leader in the modern-day business of pay television and global entertainment. He has created and produced some of the most iconic and critically acclaimed scripted series in history. Before co-founding Rubicon Global Media, Albrecht was Managing Director of Legendary Television, where he oversaw the series “Drops of God” for Apple+ and “Monarch” set in Legendary’s MonsterVerse universe. He also served as President and CEO of Starz, where he successfully reinvented the premium television network. He was behind such scripted series as “Power,” “Outlander,” “American Gods,” “Vida,” “The Girlfriend Experience,” “Black Sails” “Ash vs. Evil Dead,” and “Now Apocalypse." Albrecht is known for his longstanding role as Chairman and CEO of HBO and President of HBO Original Programming. While at HBO, he transformed the company from a movie-focused television service into a worldwide leader in original programming. His tenure was noted for changing the television landscape by creating such series as "Sex and the City,” “The Sopranos,” “Six Feet Under,” “Deadwood,” “Band of Brothers,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Entourage,” along with dozens of other programs. As President of HBO Independent Productions, Albrecht guided the development and production of comedy series for distribution, including “Martin” and “Everybody Loves Raymond.” Under his leadership, HBO developed, produced, and released numerous theatrical films, including “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” “Maria Full of Grace,” “American Splendor,” and “Sex and the City.”
