Office of Nora Skinner, SVP of Drama
Support departments and executives through clerical work that includes data entry, filing of confidential documents, securing vendors and daily catering, answering phones and emails, and maintaining cleanliness, craft services, and supplies
In this role, I supported executives primarily in MACRO's Film and Television Studio departments while leveraging opportunities to become acquainted with the company, its content, and its clients. My main responsibilities included script coverage, coverage of novels in manuscript, and discovering new talent at premier film festivals. I also completed research projects for Alternative Programming and M88.
I was hired to begin implementing Sisters in Cinema's three-year strategic plan, which prioritized hiring additional staff, managing the launch of the Media Arts Center, and strengthening the organization's brand. In my role, I hired then trained an intern who was promoted to Program Coordinator by the completion of her internship. I also developed and oversaw the Sisters in Cinema Newsroom pilot program, which garnered significant press coverage. I built on my work strengthening the organization's brand when I planned and executed the Sisters in Cinema Media Arts Center's groundbreaking ceremony, which was attended by the mayor, local and state politicians, and the Chicago and Illinois Film Offices.
I secured craft services, coordinated lunch orders, and assisted the film crew with set up and wrap during a Chicago production of the upcoming feature documentary EMPIRE OF EBONY. I also conducted on-site research, digitized and filed physical images, and completed all other requested tasks for director Lisa Cortés and producer Alyse Shorland.
