Completed my PhD in Animal science, with a focus in swine nutrition. Research focus included improving gastrointestinal integrity in newly weaned piglets, to reduce pathogen infection.
Gained insight to the role of a technical service nutritionist. Worked with customers to find solutions and improve their pork system. Worked with data analysis, protocol creation, research updates, and with prospecting clients.
Master’s of Science in Animal Science, with emphasis in compensatory gain and floor space requirements in finishing pigs.
Under the guidance of Dr. John Patience. Worked as an aide to graduate students to complete their thesis projects. Complete various research trials on ISU's Swine Nutrition Farm, and trained in many laboratory assay's for lab analysis.
Completed a feed mill specific project for the nutrition team. Project was looking at how corn quality effects the value of the feed fed to the pigs and the economic impacts.
