As a Peer Academic Coach in the Office of Student Success, I provided individualized academic support and mentorship, specializing in Math and Humanities. I developed tailored study plans, offered one-on-one tutoring, and used active listening and constructive feedback to help students overcome challenges and build confidence. I tracked progress, analyzed performance data, and collaborated on strategies to enhance student success across campus while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Served as Miss NAACP of the Delaware State University chapter, promoting civil rights advocacy, voter engagement, and community empowerment on campus and in the surrounding community. Led and supported initiatives addressing social justice, equity, and political awareness while collaborating with student leaders, university administration, and community organizations. Represented the chapter at public events, forums, and outreach programs, exemplifying leadership, professionalism, and commitment to the NAACP’s mission.
Conducted in-depth research on extreme sentencing practices—including life sentences, juvenile incarceration, and sentencing disparities—for The Sentencing Project. Analyzed case law, contributed to reports, and collaborated with legal and community stakeholders to support reform initiatives and publications. Presented research findings at workshops and conferences to advance public awareness and policy reform.
Completed a 15-week Braven Leadership and Career Accelerator Fellowship focused on professional development, leadership, and workforce readiness. Strengthened communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills through leadership labs, coaching, and a consulting project for Barclays. Developed a career roadmap, refined professional tools, and built a lasting mentorship network.
