I am taking a year-in-industry placement at Heura Foods in between the 3rd and 4th year of my degree. Heura Foods is a fast growing start-up in the food-tech industry which focuses on creating plant-based protein products. These products offer all the nutritional benefits of meat products and more, ensuring the use of sustainably sourced and ethical ingredients. My role as a Food-Tech Intern will be to apply the knowledge I have gained from my degree to offer a new perspective on the formulation and production of Heura products. I am also looking forward to learning all that I can about what it is like to work in the food industry, and the inner-workings of such a business in general.

  • Student Tutor at Self-employed
    Jun 2021 - Jan 2025 · 3 yrs 8 mos

I have had multiple experiences tutoring younger students in chemistry, mathematics, biology, and English. I currently tutor a younger student from my high school in A-level chemistry, which requires me to research topics according to the school syllabus and devise a technique which will allow me to effectively and concisely deliver explanations to facilitate their understanding. I achieve this by maintaining a constructive attitude during our sessions, challenging them to think about topics in a different light which will expand their knowledge on the subject.
