I am a Trauma and Orthopaedic-Themed CT2 in the Northern Deanery, working in the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
I am currently in my second year of Core Surgical Training, working in Trauma and Orthopaedics at an SHO grade.
Over the past 3 years, I have worked as a Foundation Year Representative and as a Core Surgical Training Representative in my respective trusts and deaneries.
Roles in: Trauma and Orthopaedics at the RVI, Urology at Sunderland Royal Hospital and Plastic Surgery at James Cook University Hospital
Rotations in: General Surgery, Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry
Roles in: Respiratory Medicine, Trauma and Orthopaedics and Frailty. While in this role, I have been involved in management, as a Foundation Doctor Representative, for which I was awarded a Leadership Merit Award. I have also been part of numerous working groups and clinical audit committees within the trust.
I am leading a team to pilot a national surgical mentoring scheme.
