The exchange between Europe and the Asia-Pacific region is evolving rapidly in the dawn of the 21th century. Markets are merging, science and research are internationalizing, and understanding between cultures is of increasing importance. The Asia Berlin Forum e.V. (ABF) – formerly known as Asia-Pacific Forum Berlin e.V. (APFB) – is the Berlin platform for committed members and partners from the political, business, science and cultural sectors to promote communication and collaboration with the Asia-Pacific region. They expand their own opportunities by sharing their expertise. Thereby, they contribute to the success of the ABF and profit from its exceptional network. The ABF holds the office of the AsiaBerlin Summit (ABS), the largest series of events related to Asia-Pacific in Germany. As part of the AsiaBerlin Summit the ABF has founded and organized the Embassy Day since 2013, an excellent opportunity for personal networking with the Asian embassies that present their own countries in business seminars and cultural performances. The ABF also coordinates the satellite events and the diverse ABS cultural program. As part of the Debating Asia event series, the ABF hosts panel discussions on current issues around politics, business and culture. The ABF cooperates with specialized partner institutions on the respective topics. Debating Asia aims at the controversial debate and lasting exchange.
