Chiara Nuzzi (1986) is a curator and writer based in Italy. She is currently Curator and Editorial manager at Fondazione ICA Milano and Curator for the collection's exhibitions at Fondazione Bonollo per l'Arte Contemporanea (Thiene, Italy). In 2023 she was guest curator at the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro in Milan, curating the solo shows by Lito Kattou and Paul Maheke for the Project Room program. Since 2018 she coordinates the exhibition program of ICA Milan and curated several projects and exhibitions such as "Cemile Sahin. Road Runner", 2025; "Augustas Serapinas. Wooden Travel", 2024; "Erika Verzutti. Notizia" (co-curated with Alberto Salvadori), 2024; "Camille Henrot & Estelle Hoy. Jus d'Orange", 2023; "Rebecca Moccia. Ministry of Loneliness", 2023; "Chemu Ng'ok", 2023; the collective show "Small Fixations", 2022; "Costanza Candeloro. My skin-care, my strenght", 2022; "Simone Forti. Vicino al Cuore / Close to the Heart" (2019-2020) co-curated with Alberto Salvadori. In 2021 she ideated and curated the digital program ICA Committed, articulated in the commission of two digital artworks conceived specifically for the website of the Fondazione by different artists. In 2018 she co-curated with Luigi Fassi the collective exhibition "Sense and Sensibilia", parallel project for the 2018 edition of the Biennale Gherdëina curated by Adam Budak. During her residency at Thankyouforcomining, Nice in 2018, she curated the project "What happens to people and what happens to the land is the same thing" with artistic contributions by Ursula Biemann & Paulo Tavares, Melanie Bonajo, the Karrabing Film Collective and Uriel Orlow among others. In 2015 she obtained the CXC prize held by Mart Museum of Trento and Rovereto and curated, together with Valeria Mancinelli and Stefania Rispoli, the collective exhibition Afterimage. Images of the Conflict. Since 2015 she is curator and organizer of the Florence-based festival SONIC SOMATIC. She curated, coordinated and contributed to all ICA Milano publications and catalogues, such as the publication "Camille Henrot & Estelle Hoy. Jus d'Orange" co-edited with Nero editions; "Rebecca Moccia. Ministry of Loneliness" co-edited with Humboldt Books; the book "Miriam Cahn. GEZEICHNET" co-edited with Mousse Publishing as well as the publication "Aria Italiana", co-edited with Mousse Magazine. In 2012 she collaborated with the editorial team of Kaleidoscope Magazine. She writes commissioned essays and curatorial texts for publications, exhibitions, galleries and artists.
