My academic journey began in nursing at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where I trained as a student nurse and interned across multiple clinical settings, from geriatric to paediatric care. These experiences allowed me to witness both the resilience and vulnerability of patients, shaping my empathy, adaptability, and composure in high-pressure environments. Through this path, I realised my curiosity extended beyond bedside care. I became increasingly drawn to understanding health and disease from a scientific and investigative perspective, which led me to pursue Biological Sciences. In university, I have actively taken on leadership roles, embracing opportunities to grow beyond academics. After years of navigating the demands of nursing training, I now strive to balance my studies with a fulfilling hall life. Serving in roles such as Chairperson and Chief Safety & Welfare Officer, has strengthened my leadership, teamwork, and organisational skills. I am passionate about contributing to healthcare and science through analytical, research-driven, and backend-focused work.
