Led a team of six developers in a program focused on Designing and enhancing a strategic platform for asset transfers within the wealth management division. This project involved modernizing payment software components by transitioning the backend from legacy code, primarily written in C and Stored procedures, to a modern Java Spring Boot and Microservices application. Involved in low-level and high-level designing of Functional flows. Collaborated with wealth management professionals, our primary users, to build new functionalities and ensure seamless scalability for future growth.
Key contributor to a collaborative, multi-team project focused on designing and developing a secure and scalable payment web application from the ground up. This application, built using Angular for the front end, facilitated seamless external security transfers for Private Wealth Management (PWM) clients, directly impacting the firm's financial operations. The backend was built using Java Spring Boot and Microservices architecture. Independently developed a Java Spring Batch process to categorize different types of client income and allocate them to the appropriate accounts. This automation significantly reduced manual work, saving hundreds of man-hours previously required by the operations team and mitigating the risks associated with manual transfer processes. Since its implementation, this system has facilitated transfers totalling millions of dollars.
Worked on enhancing Mutual fund processing software built on Spring Batch to align with the firm's strategy post-Brexit. This enhancement involved updating the software and internal processes for managing mutual fund dividends to adapt to new strategic requirements.
