As a Communication and Engagement intern, I gained invaluable insight into the inner workings of a small business, particularly the critical role of communication and brand image in shaping its success. This role allowed me to understand the nuances of fostering engagement and building meaningful connections while ensuring consistent branding and effective outreach.
Growing up in Harlem shaped my worldview and instilled in me a profound respect for community and resilience. My volunteer work at the Samuel Proctor Family Shelter allowed me to give back to the neighborhood that raised me, while also deepening my understanding of systemic inequalities and the importance of grassroots action. These experiences have influenced my commitment to ethical leadership and my drive to create meaningful change.
