Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential (GCAPP) is a statewide, nonprofit organization founded by actress and philanthropist Jane Fonda with a mission to improve adolescent health in Georgia. Having served on the board for the past three years as Treasurer, I was well informed to lead the organization through a period of transition. In this role, I was responsible for: • Implementing our strategic vision to impact a broader audience of young people by engaging youth, adults and community leaders in 21 target counties, many of which have the state’s highest teen birth rates, STDs, and HIV infection. • Engaging board and advisory council members to expand statewide relationships, build donor relationships, and recruit new board members. • Providing leadership to employees who deliver programs to our communities, raise funds, increase brand awareness and understanding of GCAPP.
