At the College of Computing, Data Science and Society – UC Berkeley's first new college in 50 years – I aim to advance its vision and strengthen engagement across its community of students, faculty, staff, alumni and partners. I oversee the development and implementation of brand, web, social media and digital strategies to elevate the college's profile and highlight its successes. Working collaboratively across departments, I also manage cross-team communications projects that leverage storytelling, design and data-driven insights to inspire action, foster connection and meet the college's strategic goals.
From the headquarters of CITRIS and the Banatao Institute on the UC Berkeley campus, I oversaw strategic communications, external relations and brand identity in alignment with CITRIS teams at UC Davis, UC Merced and UC Santa Cruz. I supported my stellar team of staff and students to produce original editorial, web and multimedia content that highlighted CITRIS's breadth of interdisciplinary research successes, societal impact and intellectual leadership. My team at MongoDB supported the successful execution of global marketing campaigns and cross-departmental collaboration through process refinement, operational efficiency and project management.
I coordinated all phases of the project lifecycle for our creative and web development teams. From initial planning to execution, I collaborate across multiple projects, programs and stakeholders to identify goals, requirements, milestones and dependencies to ensure clarity of scope and successful outcomes.
At our headquarters on the UC Berkeley campus, I managed communications and creative projects including print and online publications, social media content, website management, video, and marketing campaigns in coordination with UC Davis, UC Merced and UC Santa Cruz. I led the development and execution of comprehensive branding and promotional plans to support flagship events including a variety of public seminar series, our Women in Tech Symposium to celebrate diversity in tech, and our annual industry-facing showcase.
At Apress, I served as community outreach manager to over 1,600 technology user groups and coordinated the reader review and author speaking engagement programs. I produced targeted newsletters, promotional campaigns and event collateral for our flagship programs. I also led an internship program to build and enhance our social media presence and provide other marketing support.
